SCH08/DBNO012 ECHO CHAMBER - "ECHO CHAMBER" 7" out....NOW
Also the greatest history t-shirt known to corekind.
To all the Schemers and Schemettes reading this….we’re proud to officially release the debut self titled 7” from Germany’s very own ECHO CHAMBER.
The record is ill front to back, from the songs (think Djian BREAKDOWN) to the layout (think GHILLIE SUITS), we are stoked on the overall final product. Shout out to the god MACKLIN A BREAK IN THE GRID for the assist with the graphics, drawings, and assorted vibes on this record.

European heads can grab the record straight from Fabian EC, who is gonna have Clear Blue and Black copies available in the DBNO store:
We are gonna have copies on Black and Opaque Pink (think BURN 7”……the OUT FOR JUSTICE LP…), available in our store:
All jokes aside….Europe, and Germany in particular, have been very avid supports of Scheme since the onset of our stupid little existence. We’re just stoked to release this record in conjunction with Down But Not Out and hope that Echo Chamber becomes this generations European band that breaks through to people from the states.
In other news…..the COLLATERAL 7” is finished up at the plant and crossing the Atlantic as we speak. You should (barring any khaos) be able to pick up a copy from the band on their tour with DIZTORT and MIL-SPEC:
For the folks that didn’t get a copy on Orange from us….a handful of copies will go up around probably 10/11AM tomorrow, so be sure to order that and an Echo 7” if you’re feelin nice.
COOL SHIRTS:
Next on the docket - The Great Pyramid of Giza…Chichén Itzá..FP on Gold…the Seven Wonders of the World1 have a new contemporary: the official SCHEME BOYZ T-shirt:

Designed by the legendary Japanese coreman YOYO TOME (Soul Vice, Bowlheads, the coolest IG account ever), it is perhaps the greatest t-shirt to ever be created. While you, the Schemer reading this, may understand this shirt we fear that the mass populace will not appreciate the beauty of this shirt.
Shirts are printed on HEAVY Bayside Union tees…only the finest of garms for this one.
Kyle and I never knew that we needed a shirt that said SCHEME BOYZ in our lives. Now we haven’t gone a single day wondering why we didn’t do it prior.
Years from now there will be essays….no, dare I say dissertations, written in (bad?) fanzines about this shirt…..it is now your chance to own a future artifact TODAY:
ON ECHO CHAMBER (PART 2) : BY TIMO (GRIM UP NORTH FANZINE, STREET SURVIVAL RECORDS (RIP)
READ PART ONE AND SUB TO GRIM UP NORTH.
..I was already hanging out in NYC for a few days ahead of the tour starting.
Spoiler alert: all the shows I went to were cool in different ways. I'll hopefully do an actual tour report asap with everything surrounding it since this piece actually got me writing about the experience, which I've been putting off for way too long now...
Saturday morning we met up with one of the Scheme bossmen at Arabica
(Prince St and Bowery) which I have to give a shout here, great coffee, and an even more heavenly bathroom, a true sanctuary in the city. After getting bagels, we went over to Brooklyn for the Daze, Streets Of Hate, and Triple B Records showcase, already a pretty pretty good start to a week of straight up hardcore.
My 3 favorite sets of the day were Adrienne, Mourning, and Train Of
Thought (Train Of Thought also being one of the main reasons to make the trip, and getting word that there will be a vinyl release for them got me really excited).
Sunday was off to a hectic start since I had a zine ready to go which only needed to be printed somewhere. Having the mindset that everything is open all the time in the boroughs, I got proven wrong easily when I met up with a friend for coffee in Brooklyn, and then had to go back to Manhattan...which resulted in me missing the first 2 bands that day. Anyways, thank you if you picked up the True Blue interview there or the full zine on the rest of the tour.
Echo Chamber had some technical difficulties, which somehow became the
reoccuring theme for the remaining dates, I guess. Nonetheless, they had
a cool set in quite a large room, and still got a good reaction, I'd say. Otherwise I really liked Crown Of Thornz, Killing Pace, and Seed Of Pain that day (I'm sparing you some of the obvious ones like Killing Time, Magnitude, Mindforce or Terror cause they are always killing it).
Fortunately, I could tag along to the Hamden, CT show in the Dead Last
van, and was not forced to take public transport. Dope show with an all killer no filler line-up: Dead Last, Wreckage, Echo Chamber, Mourning, and Magnitude. Joined a nice little chat about True Blue touring the States with a contemporary witness there too, love hearing these stories. My friend Pete2 also let me tag along to Boston, MA in his car, which again spared me the publich transport, haha.
An extensive line-up of 7 bands on a Tuesday at the Hardcore Stadium in Fake-Boston, as I heard Cambridge being called—pretty good show too. Maybe the only show Echo Chamber covering Think I Care throughout the tour? how fitting. Everyone warned me about getting food from Veggie Galaxy which was like
a block away. I was fine in the end.
Then I rejoined when it went back to Brooklyn, NY for the 'Scheme Until
It's Your Reality' Comp release show at Saint Vitus. Whatever was going on that day, it somehow had big horseshoe-energy. Europe take note: regular shows also exist in the States, not everything you see on the Tube is happening at every show. All bands were cool though. Glad I was able to catch Almighty Watching for the first, and hopefully not last time. From what I've heard later on, I might have missed the two coolest shows of the run, Baltimore, MD and Richmond, VA.
Being back in Germany, it feels like everyone who got down with the Echo
Chamber sound in the meantime is looking forward to the next Down But
Not Out and Scheme Records joint venture, in the shape of the self-titled 7" that's about to be released soon.

COMING SOON:
The year of 7”s continues…….expect new music from WRECKAGE, HEADS WILL ROLL, MORTAL FORM and maybe OTHER STUFF.
Print goods…..we should probably do another zine.
Cool CDs!
The inaugural Scheme/Daze Presents: A North Eazt Camping Trip.
The RUNNIN HOT Demo……if you know…you sadly already know.
Maybe that book that’s been in the talks for like three years.
That’s all for now. Thanks for reading and support as always.
- Kyle and Albin
The official Scheme Seven Wonders of the World listing will be unveiled in Scheme Fanzine 02.
ewwwwwwwwww
Wish this label had more formal representation. Management for day to day, a publicist to get the word out, an agent to liaise public appearances, maybe a sponsorship or two to keep the boys fed.
