Yoooooooooooooo its another Scheme newsletter…
SCHEME REPORT:
Morale in the Scheme trench has been a battle all its own, in the war for core there is only one way through victory…that's right…unity. In the face of ever mounting turn around times for stupid pieces of plastic and hardcorporate bands sucking up all the airways we will prevail…on that note everyone who bought SCH-001 ALMIGHTY WATCHING - DOUBTLESS is instrumental to our continued fight in the war against falsehood. Whether you ordered from our store or bought one of the limited advance copies at the FYA fest we appreciate the confidence, for those that ordered online your patience will be instrumental in me not jumping out a third story window to my death. When we have a hard date for when they'll ship you will too…we promise.
Alright onto new business, Today in the store you can get one these or a bunch of these if hoarding is your thing. I won’t try and scare you into buying the next super limited piece of limited hardcore emphera, there's no OUT OF _____ but when they're gone they’re gone, the band will have some at upcoming shows…like this one:
Which is serving as a replacement record release (where we also have the remaining advance copies of the 7” for sale, which ARE extremely limited but that's just the nature of things sometimes)
Unlike these mythical Doubtless 7”s still available for pre order in the store, these tapes will be shipping almost immediately and frequently so if for some reason you haven't ordered the 7” and you think it's a good idea to combo the tape and 7” together…please don’t. We know shipping sucks but sometimes life is just biting the bullet, but if you insist on ordering both at once, they'll ship at one time when the 7”s arrive at an undisclosed date. You’ve been warned. Also we have these cool posters that you’ll get with your tape purchase, or for a small fee if you hate tapes and love posters…fucking weirdo.
In the next couple weeks we'll have something totally new coming out via the label with a physical release and some digital components that we have nothing to do with outside of wanting to spread the good word. You as loyal Schemers will have the first bite at that core apple as always.
SCENE REPORT:
Yooo if you missed ALMIGHTY WATCHING at FYA it was crazy and best set of the year…believe the hype, the SOUL CONTROL cover went off crazy.
We accomplished two things at this years forlorn FYA fest….the rebirth of regular hardcore and political correctness was defeated as E TOWN CONCRETE struck their first note on Saturday night. No but seriously despite the chatter saying it would be like a landlocked Fyre Fest, you couldn't have had a better fest as far as attendance and vibe goes. I won’t go into every bands 20 minute set but let me say C4 was able to bring it to a bunch of people who probably have no fucking idea what RAMPAGE is and thats a feat in itself…those kids and Sam have got something there.
The youth continued to have their say as the RESTRAINING ORDER / WORN / C4 tour continued throughout the midwest and back into the North Eazt motherland..We were able to catch the LI and Boston shows and many a joke off session were had......we're currently putting together a zine that'll detail and document the tour through the eyes of Pat Cozen....expect funny jokes, pics, stories, art and more. The goal is for it be basically like Get In The Van but for retards.
Finally on some real shit...if you weren't at the two VEIN shows this past weekend, you can support Mark from Fuming Mouth who was recently diagnosed with Leukemia via the lovely folks at Brass City Screen Printing, who just put up some merch to benefit him. We're big fans of the Long Beanie:

Being sick as a dog right now led me back to looking over my notes of shows I went to years ago and brought me back to January 2010...the year was starting fresh with many a dope reunion core gig including INSIDE, 108, HOPE CON, DISEMBODIED (listen, 2010 was a different time...) and notably this show:
This was supposed to be the final of the final FLOORPUNCH reunions in that period but you know real bands dont break up, which lead to this perfect show of that era at perhaps one of best hardcore venues of that timeframe...some notable moments; I think it was here that I got a beat up og BURN shirt for cheap....GET REAL opening their set with the first five songs off of AOQ and then closing their set with Life Of My Own...MIND ERASER playing Concious / Unconcious front to back and a BROTHERHOOD cover......DOWN TO NOTHING having a bunch of techinical problems which led to some illicit activies going down during a break in which pictures were scrubbed off the internet.....FP set being dope but I don't remember them playing the intro for whatever reason?
However, the real standout of the show was the surprise INVASION set which had been rumbling on the interwebz leading up to it, documented here in its 360p glory:
This set is what hardcore is all about ..... no BS and straight to the point, just watch it for yourself. Invasion, Bust It, The Fight/Your Game, AF Discriminate Me cover and to top it off Joey C putting down da guitar and singing RJ's the song...as a young edgemen who only saw RJ's proper once in his youth that might have been the illest thing I had seen in years at the time...I wish I had my FP breakdown rip shirt from that show still…….
