Yeah, we totally didn’t forget that this was supposed to drop two days ago.
SCHEME REPORT:
There are some updates on the first ALMIGHTY WATCHING show that’s going down this Friday: WORN has been added and the show got moved to the Loft in da infamous Chance complex in Poughkeepsie. Updated flyer:
Last time I was at the Loft I saw ALL OUT WAR with scene legend LaGrega….with all that in mind, click here for a video of them in ‘97 at the Chance featuring some of the illest vibes, CRO MAGs covers and SOB from MERAUDER smoking mad weed and doing dope dives. Truly an ill video.
WRECKAGE has a show in Boston as a part of the THE FIGHTs record release weekend with DEAD HEAT and BE ALL END ALL - FINAL GASP is playing too and their 12" that came out recently is sick:
For any of our Euro headz, you can order copies of the AW and WRECKAGE tapes via Suckerpunch Distro based in Russia: click here for AW tapes and here for WRECKAGE tape.
Anyways - this marks our tenth installment of this newsletter and brings us almost half a year since this started...thanks to anyone that has represented and been down since the beginning. To commemorate, we will offer some more wares to peddle for you in the future - in the next week or two, we will have a physical zine compiling ish from these newsletters, stickers and and the first Scheme tee. SCENE REPORT:
I (Kyle) attended not 1 but 2 hardcore music events in the last weekend. Both of which featured Restraining Order / Koyo / Soul Blind, as far as attendance you couldn’t ask for a better turnout at either event. But on the subject of dance floor justice, Connecticut reigns supreme.
Friday started with a $19 sandwich and ended with Alt rock in a SHACKLED fitted. Between those two things you had an overly enthusiastic RECYCLED EARTH set and a less than superb RESTRAINING ORDER showing. The kids did give it their all to the RECYCLED EARTH reunion: as a collection of individuals I cherish and value as friends, I tip my kangol. RESTRAINING ORDER had their moments but the excitement from the kids was exhausted and couldn’t be saved by the As One cover.
NOW Saturday was the old way….football in the park before the gig…the gig that was in a strip mall bar. This show was comparable to the night before until RESTRAINING ORDER took the stage (the space between the big screen TVs and the dartboards), new faces, old faces all singing-slamming-circling about…not too posi but not too negi just classic Connecticut fun.

MENTAL INTERVIEW FROM TOWN OF HARDCORE
While trying to find content for this installment, I turned to my copy of the Town of Hardcore book for inspiration. I then remembered that the binding on it was shot for being a 15+ year old book that was well read, so forty or so pages are just falling out. My loss is your gain, as I was now easily able to scan this classic interview with MENTAL from their fourth issue. Click the images to make em bigger and easier to read:
